PLUGGY shares its Augmented Reality tools
Co-creating augmented cultural experiences in Albertopolis
Workshop: 14:30 – 17:30, 5 September 2018, followed by drinks & refreshments
Venue: Royal College of Art
In conjunction with the international Engineering & Product Design Education Conference, and the EU PLUGGY project, Imperial College and Royal College of Art are hosting a free co-design workshop for participants to co-create cultural experiences based on the rich design and innovation history of Albertopolis using the tools for augmentation created by PLUGGY.
Imperial College London and RCA are both located on land gifted to the UK from profits made from the groundbreaking Great Exhibition of 1851. This event was a significant landmark in the history of design. Therefore, our location and heritage provide an incredible setting for exploring how new technology platforms can be used in real-time to build and enhance a cultural experience.
PLUGGY enables users to co-create and experience cultural stories through a social platform and ‘pluggable’ applications for 3D sound and augmented reality. The aim is to create better experiences for all type of potential users through a process of co-creating cultural heritage.
You are warmly invited to join us for a late afternoon and evening of refreshments, problem solving, and hacking for culture.
